Dining choices in Boise are varied and abundant. All over the city you can find fabulous eateries
serving up fare from the normal every-day burger to the more exotic ethnic cuisines
from all over the globe. Particulary worthy of note is the Basque cuisine, as
Boise is home to the largest concentration of Basque people living outside of
Basque country in the world, numbering about 20,000. There is a large Basque festival
(known as Jaildi) once every 5 years, and a vibrant Basque section of the city.
Being an honorary member of the Pacific Northwest, Boise also has it′s fair share
of microbreweries, such as Tablerock, Sockeye and the RAM,
which make their own beers. Bardenay, located downtown on the ′Basque Block′
also makes it′s own vodka to compliment its excellent microbrews.
