Over the last decade, Boise has become a ′miniature Silicon Valley′ attracting tech talent not only from the San Francisico Area, but from other tech-savvy cities such as Las Vegas, Seattle and San Diego. The quality of life coupled with the relatively low cost of living make Boise a great place to live and work, particularly for those in the tech industry. Boise is the headquarters of Micron Technology, and Hewlett-Packard has a large complex in Boise which specializes in scanners and printers and is one of the largest employers in the area, second only to Micron.
